My husband is always saying that I am the smartest person he has ever met, but at the same time not cause I don't have a whole lot of common sense. I think I do, but the more jokingly points it out, the more I'm starting to second guess myself. You can always learn more 'book smarts' but can you LEARN common sense? If I am really challenged in this area, is there any hope for me?lol My hubby doesn't have a whole lot of book smarts but is a genius at common sense. we compliment each other well! :-) Would you rather have more common sense or book smarts? Is there anything I can do to have more common sense?

Other than life experience I really dont think you can "learn" common sense (or street smarts as I see it though some may view it differently).....I've been fortunate the past several yrs to have alot of both..BUT it wasnt always that way..As a teenager, book smarts really didnt serve a purpose for me whereas being street smart was the difference between living and dying basically..once I was in my 20s and started to read more and self study (something I didnt have the luxury of as a teen) I gained my book smarts...and it grows more and more as time goes on and I find my interests etc expanding as I get older...
