I'm away for a few days from tomorrow and was wondering whether you like to totally relaax and sunbathe and swim your whole holiday or are you the more active type jet skiing, scuba diving, volleyball, sightseeing. What do you prefer to do? I am a mix of both but as my break is in the UK and not much sun about it will be an active form of relaxtion for me. Please share Ellie :D
Any responses received after tomorrow morning I will respond to but not until I return. Ellie :D

I love a mixture of both as well. I'll do as much water-sports as I can, beach volleyball etc, and when I do feel kinda exhausted, I'll sunbathe with a good book or just snooze while sunbathing (just being a lizard)...lol..

Wow what an idyllic location to be brought up in. Here in the UK the weather is not that good most of the time. I agree entirely re the kids and eyes and definately have to have them in the back of mine with my son, at four he has no fear and is into everything bless. Ellie :D

The mixture of both is the norm for me as I grew up doing that. I'm from the South Pacific Islands so we have alot of sunshine almost all year round :-)
We do alot of scuba diving as well and my kids love jet-skiing and snorkeling and kayaking.
Most of the time, kids are with us, so if I wanna sunbathe, hubby and I will take turns keeping an eye, more like eyes...on our kiddos...hawk's eyes....kids' safety first, I always say..and believe in...

I would do neither, I don't like sports and I don't like sunbathing, I might take a trip on a yacht, and visit museums, tourist attractions and restaurants and the would be my trip. Have a nice trip.

I hope that you are having or had a fantastic holiday. I like to travel around to different locations like I spent some time on the beach, went caving, climbed Mayan ruins and watched wildlife when I was in Belize. In the Seychelles I did snorkeling every day, hired a bike and walked around La Digue Island. In the Maldives I loved the perfect desert island look with the white sand and gently waving palm trees however activity was limited making me bored. It is great to relax and exciting to do a variety of different activities. Sightseeing for me is meeting the local people, seeing interesting architecture and seeing some native wildlife. I like it when I have sunny days and warm weather.

I think it is amazing the amount you travel and having read other discussions of yours know its a passion. I only went away in UK this time so even though had the sun the wind had a bitter bite to it so definately not sunbathing weather. Had lots of fun though and my son thoroughly enjoyed himself. I am lucky that I live by the sea but it was nice to get out of my home town and travel to a different area. I have a sandy beach and where we went had pebbles we spent ages just skimming stones and running from the waves in welly boots LOL. Thank you for sharing. Ellie :D

I'm much the same I like to do both but I remember a holiday years ago before I had the children with some girlie friends and all theydid all day long was lay on the beach. I just used to wander off explore the sights and take myself off for boat trips etc. I can't just sit for that long. I need to experience other cultures not just others beaches. Ellie :D
