Five years is not a big difference and age should not make a difference in a relationship as long as one is not a minor. There are many people who are with someone that is older than them and by more years. That is good that you feel she is mature as she will help you to become more mature and she may know things that you do not know. She has more experience in life but as long as you two are happy together and enjoy being with each other that is the only thing that should matter. Age is just a number.

I think that's cool.
I mean, having someone more mature, even though they'd still be mature if they are younger, you'd get motivated to act right and be mature as well just to prove yourself.

I think it all depends how old you are. Women mature quicker than men, therefore usually women go out with men, who are older than them. But later in life the maturity levels balance out and age is not so much a problem.

I think it makes a different what kind of age up are. If say you're a teenager and shes not any more that there will be more problems. Or even that it will make more of a difference the younger you are. Whereas late 20s and up I really think that age gaps are of little relevance, as long as you get along, want similar things and understand each other, who cares what age you are.

I dated someone 16 years older then me. As long as you two enjoy your time together that is all that matters. 5 years isn't that big of a difference so I wouldn't worry about it at all.

It's not a big deal at all. My boyfriend is twelve years older than me and we have been very happy for two years now.

Yes, it's a not big deal. As long as you feel the comfort on positioning yourself on her. Actually, maturity cannot be defined by age, even though it can be a common factor. Some young people will have a mature thought rather than some of elders, in a specific fields. Every one is his own guru for the subject he get used to handle for it.
As long as you both are showing the love to each other, that's the important one.

5 years in a relationship is nothing really, I am 5 years older than my hubby and it is not a deal at all, half the time we do not even think about it, I am more mature than my hubby, but not by that much!!

I don't think that five years is a big gap. I know some couples who have much bigger gaps than that, although the man is older in both cases. But I also don't think it's a problem that it's your girlfriend who is the older one. Everyone is different and although your girlfriend is older than you, you might be mature for your age or vice versa. I know forty-year olds who act like they're twenty and seventeen year olds who are as mature as a fifty year old! Just as long as you're both happy age shouldn't be an issue.

I think if you love her and you won't need to mind that. If only you feel happy and eudemonia in your daily life. You should do by your girlfriend zealously. Try your best to be a real man with responsibility for yourself and your best lover.

i think that big age differences are not a problem if one of the person is not under age

I think it's great men need to have mature women in their life. But ya know ... even if she was say 2-3 years younger than you ... she'd still probably be more mature still. At least that's how I've seen it most of the time in people's relationships.
