My sister & I have often talked about compiling a book about all the sayings our family has passed down through the generations. You know, like myths & wise-tales. Lately I find myself often referring to these with my own children. Especially in these trying times the one I have used alot lately is "When one door closes, another one opens". Do they really help? I am thinking, no. Yet I also tell them often that karma always comes back to bite you. Especially when someone promises you something and you set your heart on it but they let you down. The world today can be a very sad place to be when you're not rich and don't have alot. All we do have sometimes are those old sayings to give us new hope. I think my sister & I better get to work on our book. We both could use the income as this year we have both faced foreclosure and our kids are barely keeping their heads above water too.

Sounds like it would be an interesting topic for a book.
You could interview people of different cultures and races and make it extremely interesting.
Good Luck and God Bless.
