Does it bother anyone else that none of the remaining Presidential Candidates in either party have any real management experience in their background? Am I the only one that thinks this should be a major prerequisite for running the US? Honestly, all we have in the running are just politicians.

Not to disagree, but I understand the McCain was some type of commander over a unit of planes. I don't know the specifics.
I think Obama was some type of organizing person over something, too.
Hillary has the least management, especially over her husband.
Overall, I guess I do agree with you after writing this. They are all Senators and do legislative work, not management. A governor would as least had state management experience. Where did Romney go?

When I stop and consider that George W. Bush had plenty of management experience before taking office I think the least the next President has the better. Just because someone has "experience" in management or anything else for that matter doesn't mean he or she will do this particular job well. Going back to Bush, his "I'm the decider" attitude certainly didn't benefit our nation much, at least in my opinion. As someone who has had some horrid experiences with terrible managers I feel that in some cases those with management experience are less likely to be able to work well with others, such as Congress, the Cabinet and advisers. I've had bosses that are - well, they were the boss, there was no such thing as communication with a "lowly subordinate", no need for input from anyone else because they did what they wanted and that was that. In that way I'd say that type of experience is highly overrated!

Ok. You have a point there. There are managers and then there are effective, successful managers and I'm talking top management -- not middle management. I still think that in order to manage a country, one needs to have some good experience in this area. I'm not saying it's the ONLY qualification, by any means, but it should be an important one.
