I guess it would depend on the game that I am going to play to which hand held I'd be using.
There are just some games that play well with either Nintendo's Dual Screen and there also those that are good with Sony's PlayStation Portable.
When it comes to features, both can go online, play movies, music, and display images aside from the gaming capabilities that they were developed for.

Both are awesome but the PSP has good games like Final Fantasy but the DS has Pokemon and Zelda along with Mario.

I say PSP is a lot better. Not to be bias but the games in PSP are better and I love Sony products. :D

Is all depand on what type of entertainment you are looking for. I am currently 29 year olds, owned a NDS and my bro has a PSP. I found myself that at this age like me, I have no time to play those long, deep, hardoce games like before (JapRPG, SLG, AVG...). All I need now is just a short break to relax my miond from the helly working life. Hence for me at this age at this moment, NDS is my first choose. Although visually PSP is alot better than NDS, but I found that games on NDS are more entertaining. Currently playing Ninja Gaiden, space invender extreme. Strongly recommend SPACE INVENDER EXTREME for those looking for old school, difficult vertical shooting game!!

I like the DS more. Nintendo has 19 years experience with handhelds (20th anniversary of the Gameboy next year!). They've yet to lose their hold on the market and I look forward to buying my children their own Nintendo handhelds to shut them up on car rides as my parents did with me and my siblings (Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening is the best handheld game ever).

I would say both are very good consoles in their own class. if you prefer innovative, fun, and entertaining gameplay, then you can't go wrong with the ds, on the other hand, the psp is a multimedia powerhouse and pretty impressive graphics for games. I would say go for both! i have them both. ;)

Not to stereotype, but ive noticed that most DS owners are either emo, a japanese/anime addict, or a little kid, and the psp owners are the harcore and casual gamers..just a thought..

well i like both for obvious reasons but the one i like to take every where with me is the psp because you can listen to music, watch video's, browse the internet, play games, and using emulators for the psp i can play my favorite super nintendo and sega genesis games. there so much too do with the psp that you can't think possible.

i'm always playing Pokemon.

or rather nothing that makes good use of the PSP's capabilities.
