‘Gotta Survive That 9 to 5’
Wastin’ away, pushing down on buttons all day
Stuck inside, a penitentiary, painted white
Entirely mundane, it’s never altered
Always stays the same
Unusual and very cruel punishment
Spiraling in a sentence of mediocre labor
Trying to reason with lunatics
Don’t turn in perfection,
And you’ll get reprimanded quick
I think Ill call in sick…
Entirely mundane, it’s never altered
Always stays the same
Unusual and very cruel punishment
Spiraling in a sentence of mediocre labor
Customers may be foul
And sometimes Co-workers may also be reviled
You gotta find a way to blow off steam
You gotta make the funds, because you gotta feed…

the not being able to eat part was said in the "You gotta find a way to blow off steam,You gotta make the funds, because you gotta feed… "
Plus, your right maybe self employment would be a more satisfying labor...

I'm actually self-emplyoed at the moment ;) Yeah, I know about the mouths to feed part. Haha. I think my mind has already wondered far off. What I meant was if we don't work we don't eat then we still have mouths to feed. It's like we're stuck in the rut kinda thingy so in the end we still have to work in that system. Unless you come out from the system & be your own boss. I'm currently 26 & have a registered company. I'm planning to expand it more very soon. All the best to you man!~

Well I hope to one day convert my writing into profit.. but its rather difficult. So its likely that I will have to suffer in my menial labor from a while longer.

I write to live...I live to write...
My food I feed is words and sight...
Day turn into the night...
Holding only the pages so tight...
Twinkle the stars telling time...
Drinking in moonlight...
No dimes in my pocket for my writing...
Just riches in poems...
Sweet love in the soul the words make stiches...
Freedom of me out of control...
I will never let go...
Writing is my breath...
To work inside the white walls I would die...
I shall be free with my words no tears to cry...
Taking to the pages of life I fly...

Writing is indeed a beautiful craft. I love to do it myself, particularly poetry. I hope to one day write a book of dark despondent poetry, even if I may not receive much funds from it.

That is so true, its sucks 'cause most people hate their jobs but have no choice but to go on because of mouths they have to feed, including their own. So they say go to college and studying something you think you would want to pursue but hey most people are just too old to really know what that is. So it's like the cycle never ends.
