Yesterday we threw my son a birthday party (his birthday was last Monday). I've been cleaning for a week, and yesterday was so hectic. I was wiped out today, slept 2 hours later than usual. When my son fell asleep for his nap, I sat on the couch, leaned over on my husband, and fell asleep myself. He let me sleep on him for 3 hours! So when I woke up at 5:45pm, I made coffee. And drank over 1/2 the pot by myself! I didn't realize it would have this strong an effect on me! Apparently it has this effect on me in the mornings, too, I just don't notice it. I'm wired like a microwave, and I don't see sleep in the near future.... My hair is frizzed, my eyes are twitching, my hands won't let me type straight (thank goodness for the backspace key), and my cat is hiding from me cause I keep pacing the floor and I've stepped on his tail twice. WOO-HOO!! I LOVE CAFFEINE! Sorry to the kitteh, though. So tell me all your stories about coffee and energy drinks late in the evening. Energy drinks are fun at night, too. I haven't had this much coffee at night since our last vacation. How long did it take you to fall asleep? Did you even go to bed? Did you shake and twitch in your sleep all night? Come on, spill! It will be our little secret. HA!

Really Coffee doesn't make me act like that, I read your story, maybe you shouldn't drink coffee if it has you wired up like that.

Actually, it doesn't usually affect me like that. I hadn't had any form of caffeine, energy drinks and soda included, in over 2 weeks, and suddenly I had nearly an entire pot of coffee by myself. Combine that with the stress I'd been under at the time, and it's no wonder I was so wired that night! Coffee only seems to have that particular effect on me when I'm super-stressed and drink too much in the evenings. Go figure... Thanks for posting.

That's interesting... Especially what the other guy said about ADHD... I wonder if that's what I have... I usually go through about 12 - 15 cups of coffee everyday & I have been for at least 15 years... I drink coffee through out the entire day, come home & hit the bad & within about 1/2 hour, I'm passed out like a baby... And it's not like I'm all hyped up through out the day either... Coffee relaxes me & helps me goto sleep... One time I tried going entire day without a drop of coffee & my head felt like I just woke up all day...
