Do you like Chengdu?How many places of China you have been?

I am a Chinese and my hometown is only 70kilometers from Chengdu,Sichuan. I have been studied in Chengdu for 7 years. I love Chengdu for its good foods, kind people, and leisure culture. I love hotpot,sichuan dish. I have ever been to Kangding,Xiling snowy mountain, Qingcheng Mountain and Dujiang Dam. Once I worked in a Youth Hostel and I met many foreign friends there. They all liked Chengdu very much. Once I met a group of Dutch men and they liked Chengdu very much. For one month they stayed in the Youth Hostel and drank beer and had hotpot and they enjoyed the life very much!Chengdu is the Capital of Sichuan Province. Sichuan has rich travelling resources and in the future I want to go to Jiuzhai Gou and Siguniang Mountain. I love the water and mountains.
Besides Chengdu is a good place, I have ever been to Yunnan province, Dalian, Shanghai, Nanjing, Hangzhou,etc. I do enjoy the beautiful sceneries and I am proud to be a Chinese because we have so many places to travel.
I love the sea and the mountains and the historical places.
Have you ever been to Chengdu? Have you ever been to China? You will find it is much more magnificent place than you think.

I think I want to visit Hong Kong, and the place where there's a army of statues of soldiers, and Guilin. Hmmm never been to Chengdu - might go there one day though, but I've been to Beijing, the Great Wall, and Guangzhou. We caught a train from Beijing to Guangzhou...pretty awesome.

Hello, Alle91, thank you for your response. Hong Kong is a very properous and crowd and morden city and I also want to visit there very much. And the place you mentioned army of statues of soldiers is Xi'an,a place full of history. Chengdu is not far from Xi'an and you can choose Chengdu as your next stop when you are in Xi'an. There are many places valuable to go. I am now in Beijing and this is the second time I come to Beijing,last time in last year for one month and this year I have been here for one and a half year. I have been to Jian Yuguan Great wall, the Palace museum, and the parks and I think Beijing is a good place to visit and there are so many places to go but you can not travel in Beijing in a hurry because there is taste of history to taste slowly. I love going to the parks during the weekend, so many people sing there and they do enjoy themselves. Places in China all need time to get the true taste and once you feel that you will like the taste.
I can understand how your journey on train from Beijing to Guangzhou, it is too far and it maybe crowded,right? Sometimes travelling brings troubles. Besides I have not been to Guangzhou but I do not want to go there because I do not think there is enough culture there and in my mind Guangzhou is not very safe. Summer in Guangzhou would be untolleratable.

Cool. I might have to do that one day. Um..the train trip wasn't too bad actually, because my family booked a room for ourselves with 2 bunk beds. But we could've really sleep at night because the people next door were smoking and the smoke went into the ventilation system and was going into our room. We were only in Beijing for a week, but we saw the palace, and Yi He Yuan. Guang Zhou wasn't too bad probably because we knew our way around, and my parents speak the local dialect, so people were less likely to trick us LOL like in beijing because they don't have the beijing accent. I've never been in Summer, I reckon it would be really hot and humid.

sorry, I made two mistakes in my first response to your comment. The Great Wall I went to is Mutianyu Great Wall not Jia Yuguan Great Wall which is not in Beijing. then the second time I am in Beijing since now is one and a half month,not one and a half year. sorry. I do not know how to revise the finished comment at the moment and hope here I can check the mistakes.
I am happy to share our experience together. You were very lucky to have good beds on train but right at the moment the general condition of the train is not good. It is normal to meet the impolite people and it is a luck to meet people to talk with. I like travelling by sitting on or have a bed on train and I always enjoy communicating with people around me.
Maybe I need to go to Guangzhou next time because every place of China would be one item in my travelling schedule.

Chengdu is definitely a leisuring place where abounds with delicious snacks and pretty girls and beautiful sceneries. Ever time I mentioned Chengdu with others,they become longing for there. Of course, some other places in China are cool and worthy of traveling too. I wanted to go to Xijiang, but it seems unsafe, sigh...

Kaleido is a Chengdu localist and he knows deeply the feeling of Chengdu. Others who want to know more about Chengdu, he would be very patient to tell you.
Xinjiang is a very beautiful and miraculous place and maybe it is not that unsafe. Next time when you have time long enough, go there with your friends. It is ok. To taste the good fruits there is a good enjoyment.

I am in Shenzhen now.Admirably!
You two really have been to some beautiful places where I want to travel in my dreams all the time,but i only went and stayed in Shanghai for 7days once on The National Day in my college several years ago.I do hope i have chance to complete my travel wish one day.

before last month, one of my college-mate was dispatched to Chengdu office temporarily from headquarter in Shenzhen, afterward he said to me in a chat on line that he would stay there and look for a new job,as i konw he`ll pay a penalty for undue contact if he resign his position.I dont know why . perhaps he falls in love whith Chendu or Chengdugirl. i suppose.
