I do love Kingdom Hospital and whilst he has Kinged it to a large extent it was actually adapted from a Danish television series. When I say he's kinged it he's actually put in a few links to the Dark Tower Series.
Book wise I guess I'm torn between a few. The Stand, The Dark Tower Series and Insomnia.
Film/television wise I'd lean towards It, The Stand, The Green Mile and Stand by Me.
There's so many to choose from.
I'm not sure why, but there's something about his writing which transfers very well to screen. With other book to screen conversions so much seems to get changed but King conversions always seem to stay close to the original writing.

Also, the main character in Kingdom Hospital, Peter Rickman (played by Jack Coleman who is now Noah Bennett in Heroes) was based on King himself. The accident that puts Rickman in the hospital is exactly the accident that nearly killed Stephen King. That's something he does a lot in his writing; inserting himself into the story.

I love his green mile, four seasons of which the prisoner( shawshank redemption) was written, the last stand, the shining, pet cemetary, Dolores clairborne and lastly his dark tower series. Actually I love every book he had written. I only wish i could meet him someday.
