I have a friend whose mother and father have just got divorced. so now both her mother and father have their new family, leave the child alone. the kid doesn't want to go to her mother and father's new family. So my friends, what do you think the kid should do? if you experience this situation, what will you do?

Hi, I agree with Babymar, i think that the kid should go to the grandparents. OR the kid has to think that who loves him/her most. becuase love is important and the parent should also talk to the child and ask that with whome the child would like to stay.

i think the kid's age decides whether she/he should go with mother or father. even the courts decide this by considering the age of the kid. if the kid is less than 18 years or so, he/she should go with the mother. after attaining the age of 18, the kid can decide whether to go with father or mother.
there is a logic behind this. before 18, it is the age where the kid needs his/her mother's love and affection. not that it doesn't need father's. if there is no possibility to enjoy the love of both, the kid should at least get the love of mother.
