I've heard variants of this sentence my whole life yet I'm still unsure about it. It thrills and fazes me simultaneously..
I know everyone here has differing views about death and afterlife so I would like to hear it. Whether it be reincarnation, heaven or hell...I just want to hear your thoughts on the subject.

I actually started a similar discussion on this topic earlier. Being that it is Halloween I wondered how many people believed in spirits and ghosts. Anyways, my point of view is that there IS an afterlife and that souls never really die. Only our physical bodies cease to exist. When we leave Earth, we go back where we truly belong. Some people call this place Heaven while will call it the afterlife or whatever they believe this place is named. I don't believe there is a "Hell" that has been described so many times as a lake of fire with a devil there to make your soul miserable for all your mistakes on life. If God or the Higher Power loves unconditionally, then that love will go for all of our mistakes and sins as well. However, I believe that people who feel no guilt or shame for doing harmful things to others will never succeed in the afterlife because they will be stuck on a level of nothingness until they are willing to learn and accept how they were when they were on Earth and learn from it.
I do beleive reincarnation exists as well. I think this was put into place so that souls would have the chance to keep coming back and learning from their mistakes until they can be one with a higher power. I know this has caused a lot of controversy, but how can you explain 6 year American children that can talk different languages and tell about past events when they have never been exposed to that in their life?
