Do You Drink Milk at Night?

Since it's time for me to replenish my calcium intake in my body before too late. I bought a bottle of milk powder (with added calcium). Since I can't and don't want to quit my lovely coffee in the mornings, I am drinking my milk (from milk powder) at night. What about you? Do you drink milk at all? When do you usually drink your milk?

I love milk! I rarely drink powdered milk though, I prefer fresh milk. I have a friend who has lactose intolerance but insists on drinking milk because she finds it pleasurable. Milk is delicious. Milk is good! Hurray for milk!

Your friend is brave! I love fresh milk too but the reason would be that I can't guarantee I would finish before expiry date and therefore I have to opt for powdered milk!

Those that come in cartons don't expire that easily. You can probably finish a carton in a week if you drink a glass each day. Btw, I'm a fan of powdered milk too. I don't mix it with water, I eat it in spoonfuls! It's one of the reasons why I was always being scolded when I was a child. :P

i do not drink milk at night because it makes my tummy grumble and i will be having problems the next day at work. i use to drink this formula drink called "ensure" and i do not know if you classify it as milk. i take in vitamins for my calcium needs. i am not lactose intolerant because i can take in milk used in starbucks.

You are right to drink more milk before it is too late. But frankly I don't drink milk so often. The reason is I am just so lazy. I only drank more milk when I was pregnant. It was like my routine thing to do everyday. I think I need to do the same like you from now on. Milk is the healthy drink and especially we need to get more calcium before we grow old.

Yea. Buy those with added calcium! I think it's better than taking pills. At least it's healthy!

Hello wondericequeen, I remember buying a packet of milk powder few months ago and you know what... I have yet to open it *laughs* I don't prefer to drink milk, but due to my latest health problem which involves lack of calcium, I decided to try drinking milk before it is too late. Oh, yes! Talking about milk makes me remember to go and search for the packet later!

Hey you lazy bud! Have you eventually opened up your milk packet yet? Yea I finally took the initiative to buy some for myself. I have been worrying my calcium intake for awhile but I just didn't do anything about it! I am lazy too!

Hello wondericequeen, Oh,well... until I read your comment, it is still there in the cabinet. I found it at last yesterday. I put the packet on the top level and can't even reach it without the help of my husband and blah, blah, blah....That's the 1001 reasons why I forgot about it. Hah!

I drink milk at night in my Casein Protein Powder, to make sure that i dont go Catabolic, during the hours im asleep. It helps keep my body anabolic, which means muscle building phase, and stops my muscles being cannibalised during my sleep. xxx

Protein powder? You take it because you are body building too right? Actually how does it taste like? I have always wondered about how protein powder taste like! *laughs*

Yeah thats right, i do natural amateur bodybuilding, sure ~ i have done for 6 months now, so im just a newbie to the sport really . Although iv managed to build plenty of muscle.. for a girl :) The really cheap bulk protein powders taste terrible, because they dont ahve any flavour to them. With the flavoured Protein Powders, you want to go for a reputable sports brand, such as Optimum Nutrition (ON), which is what i always use. I have Vanilla Casein Protein, which is the one i mentioned above that i take at night, or if i cant eat until 4 or more hours time. I add cocoa powder or coffee to the vanilla protein myself, depending how i feel, so its like theres 3 flavours in one... my fave is the Vanilla flavour with added coffee.. mmmmm its just like Iced Vanilla Latte. My Whey Protein, for before and after my workouts, is the Strawberry flavour, and its absolutely delicious! I can wholeheartedly recommend both of those for sure. xxxxx

I really do not like milk at all. We drink soy milk but not cows milk. I would not even drink that stuff at night. Even though it is lactose free, I find drinking something that heavy late at night keeps me from sleeping well.

I do not drink milk at night. I never had the habit of drinking milk at night. I had the habit of drinking milk when I was young in the morning. Now a days I take tea or energy drinks in the morning mostly boost. I also like to take tea in the evening. I prefer regular milk for tea and energy drinks than the milk powder.

we weren't brought up drinking milk every night. although it would have been better if we were used to that kind of habit. i really think that that's a healthy habit. i usually drink milk in the mornings. i often drink hot milk and not cold milk. and i seldom drink ready-to-drink milk which can be bought from the grocery. but i love those ready-to-drink milk. i wish we have a year-round supply for it.

My milk is in my cereal in the morning. It is in my hot chocolate in the afternoon. It's in my pudding at night. If powdered, I use it in baking. Take care
