I recently quit one of my at home jobs. I feel good about the decision. When working has the potential to cost you more than you take in, it is a sign. A sign that it is time to move on. That is what I did.

Congratulations on quitting something that sounds like it was not good for you! I am hoping that you find other things to do that will benefit you.

Some posts show quality in the paragrah and details. For me, when I ready yours, it is in the simpliest of sentences. This question really made me think.
I quit exercising at a gym to put the money towards my mortgage. Tried to work out at home, but time has flown by and I just gained weigh. So the next thing I quit was doing social things.
I need to really evaluate in more detail when I give up something, how to sustain what was working.

Hmm... wondering if there is any way that you could go back to the gym perhaps finding someone that has membership and being a guest sometimes... or perhaps signing up for one of those contests for six months of free membership... Hoping that you get back there as you enjoyed that.
Also wondering if there are any singles groups in that area or any dancing classes... Both of these would provide you with extra socialization and the dance class would provide more exercise. Perhaps a dance class would be cheaper than gym membership...
Just a thought. You are special to me and I would love it if you were feeling better.
It sounds like you are rethinking the giving up of things and wondering now what to add instead of the pounds so you can have more joy in your life.

Generally, I'm rather nonfunctional about quitting. I just seem to have a problem letting go of a dysfunctional situation. I hold on. I persist. I insist that there is a way to make things work out. Eventually, reality comes crashing down and takes care of things for you.
