Isn't she just misunderstood?

I can't help liking Amy Winehouse, no matter what trouble she gets herself into. Rather than thinking she's a bad influence or a bad person as so many people do, I just feel sorry for her at the same time as admiring her music and her amazing voice. My own reaction surprises me, as when celebrities start doing crazy things like drugs I usually lose respect for them really quickly. Does anyone agree with me?

Thanks for your response. I'm glad you agree. It seems a bit of a contradiction that I like her so much as a singer, (and as a personality - as I've seen her on some television programmes and she comes across as a really funny and likeable person), yet to hate the things that she chooses to do to herself.
