I don't use Stove Top (me? buy something brand name? Hahahahaha) but I do like instant stuffing mixes because they are less expensive than a loaf of bread these days and actually kind of tasty.
Anways, I was thinking there has to be something yummy you could make with it besides just chicken and mashed potatoes :)
I tried looking at Kraft's website but was actually kind of disappointed since they didn't have many ideas...so if you have any creative uses or a good recipe for stuffing out of a box let me know! Thanks!

I love Stove Top...I don't make it alot but both Hubby and I like it. I love to make it then buy one of those turkey entree's put out by Banquet and put the turkey and gravy over the stuffing. It's a quickie meal and both of us like it. Of course at Thanksgiving there's no need to buy the entree since we have left overs from the dinner.

I often use stuffing mix instead of breadcrumbs in rissoles. One day I didn't have any breadcrumbs (I put it in the mix to help bind it together) so I used stuffing mix instead. It adds flavour.
You could also use stuffing mix as a coating. Coat lamb chops or chicken pieces & cook in oven, for instance.

I have a couple of good ideas. You can make chicken patties. You take the chicken stuffin, you take an egg, whip it up and add the stuffin, seasoning to that. Mix it well. Then you can take some canned chicken or some other cooked chicken and mix that too. Then you make patties and fry it up, you can also add some onion and even some celery.
This idea is for beef stuffin mix, if you can find it. Use the stuffing mix for making meat loaf, you have the bread crumbs and seasonings for beef all in a box, it taste real good too.

First thing is I add whole grain bread crumbs because even the cornbread stuffing mix has way too much salt and processed flour, so I healthy it up. I add a whole bunch of vegetables, too, not just the obligatory celery. I add sausage too, gotta have meat~!
Even when I cook healthy, food is so good it is easy to eat too much of it! We are heading out on our annual spring trip soon so I will be away from my "test kitchen" and also off-line for a week or two. Eat well, take care, and C U in May.

Ok, I did a search (and got paid about .02 for it - check my profile to see how!).
Here's the link to the results. I haven't looked at the specific recipes yet, but it's a start!

Oooh, I'm going to have to watch this discussion for sure!
I like Stove Top sometimes too (ok, I buy Aldi's brand!) and would love to find other things to do with it.
Maybe I'll go do a search at one of those recipe sites where you list the ingredients and it tells you what you can make.
