Have you ever had visions of living like The Addams Family? Or maybe you just want to make your family and friends wonder about you. No matter how normal your home decor is, it’s fun to have something around to make people gasp, and then (maybe) laugh. But if you put all the products in this article together, you’d have a truly scary home.

The strangest thing I have in my apartment is a neck to thigh mannequin that's hollow in the back and has a hook coming out it's neck to hang it up by. I named her Mary..I use her when I have clothes to sell on ebay. She's very much a conversation starter.
What strange home decor do you have around your house/apartment?

Personally I think a twisted sense of humor in decorating can be fun. It certainly is an attention getter and conversation starter.

I don't think I have anything truly weird. Some people find my collection of sharp pointy objects weird though (sword, knives, etc) and some people are taken aback by the religious stuff I have around. But I don't think of those things as weird.
I would love to have some of the stuff in that article! When I was younger, my basement room at my grandmother's house was adorned with glowing skull posters, and I had rich dark red bedspread and a matching curtain that hung on the wall over a painting instead of a window. Eh, weird, eh?
If I got to decorate a whole house by myself, it would be a strange mix of styles, with rooms for every one of my moods. Some would be cold efficiency, others Gothic, and some playful.

Your room sounds like it was awesome. I would love to have my whole bedroom done in red and might do it one day. A lot of people think it's weird that I have a black shower curtain! It's so much easier to keep clean.

I actually saw a much better Psycho curtain at Universal Studios where it really looked like the shadow of "Mother" with the knife. It was creepy looking. I do have ashtrays though that state "Property of the Bates Motel" and has the address for it. Kind of cool.
I think the strangest decor though I might have are two paintings. They are fantasy/sci-fi based ones. They have planets and a space ship and look like it's on another planet, but they were all done in spray paints. I got them down in Mexico. They were fascinating to watch them do this. I also have one of a waterfall and forest, also done in spray paints only. They get people talking when I tell them how they were done.
