The worst book in my opinion was "The Tommyknockers". I read it all but I kept thinking, ok when is this going to get better. I figured it would since the other books by him I had enjoyed. It never did I would recommend that book to anyone who suffers from insomnia. It will put them to sleep What gets me is they made a movie out of it too boot and from what I heard the movie was just as bad.

I saw a bit of it when it first aired on tv and it looked bad. I didn't bother watching it all since I hated the book. Many of his other books though I have loved and the movies based off them, this one though just fell short big time.

I would have to say that Cell was my least favorite of King's books.
The ending just didn't cut it for me. It left me feeling that he forgot to add a couple more chapters.
I liked the rest of the book, it was great and kept my interested. It was just the last page that irritated me. But maybe that is what King wanted.

I've not read all of Stephen King's books. The one I did not like, though, was Needful Things. I didn't even finish reading it because it was so hard for me to get through. I watched very little of the movie, too, because it was just too wierd for me.

I don't know if it's the worst book but, I have had the hardest time getting into Lise's Story or I think that is what it is called. Has anyone read it? I would like to know if it is worth trying again to get into.

Rose Madder, although it has been a good ten years since I read it I am still sure it is in my top 3 worst books of all time. I really didn't enjoy it at all, it was a real effort to complete.

Wow. On reading some of the responses here, it seems that people's taste vary so widely. However, it seems that Cell seems to be the pick for the worst. I had a hard time reading that one. King's characters are usually so compelling, but in this book, I found I didn't care about them at all. The ending was one of the worst (with the exception of the Dark Tower series) of any of his books.
