Which do you prefer? I have never lived in a dorm or apt on campus. When I first started college, I commuted from my aunt and uncle's house, which was about 25 minutes from school. When I moved home and attended the college here, I lived with my grandmother since this college is smaller and doesn't have any on campus facilities. I will be started back in the fall at this same school, and now live with my husband. I kinda envied those that lived in the dorms, because everything seemed so convenient to them...I like having my own room and bathroom though. Which do you like?

I love living off campus. I did live in dorms for a few semesters but I live off campus in an apartment with 2 roommates and it is much more fun. My campus is pretty large and a lot of people go here.

hi kecia08,
like you i have never lived in a dorm or apt near my campus in my college life. 1, being that my father wouldnt agree to it because he doesnt want his kids to live away from the family. and 2, because we could ride our version of a bus to the university everyday which takes an hr or take a cab that lasts usually 20-30 mins depending on traffic. but i do have friends that live in student apartments right across our university. and for me, its much better to live at home. why because my friends who have stayed in a student apartments have to spend money for their own food, for their own laundry and pay the rent on their apartment and pay for the school tuition at the same time. and with all those bills, sometimes it could really patch a hole in their allowances, because usually who live in the student apratments are the students who arent from the city we live in, they are usually from out of town. whereas living with your parents or any of your blood relation or with your husband would be a great save on your budget, and aside from that, someone can also help you out with cooking, cleaning, laundry and etc. which would give you more time for you to study.
