Does anyone here participate? I don't know if I should this year or not. I tried last year and didn't get very much written.

Thanks for your reply! NaNoWriMo is sort of like a club you join. You agree to write as much as you can each day and hopefully by the end of the month, you will have written a novel you could try to sell or have just for your own enjoyment. The point is to just get people writing. The website is www.nanowrimo.org It lasts the whole month of November. Let me know if you decide to do it!

I've completed NaNo two years in a row now, and I love it!
I actually can hardly wait for November to start, and it's not even Valentine's day yet!!
I just started a new discussion on 2007 NaNo - I may have to start plotting already. . .

I've done it three years in a row (2004, 2005, 2006). I've never won or even come close. My novels are about- 2004, a 10-year-old cryptozoologist(a seeker of mythical animals like Bigfoot)named Mollee Katherine MacPhee. In 2005, I wrote about the ethanasia battle between my main character's girlfriend and her parents. In 2006, I wrote a disabled woman who got pregnant accidently and all the problem involved with that; plus on top of everything her boyfriend, and the father of her kid, becomes disabled in the course of everything in a car wreck with a drunk driver.

It's so funny that I'm coming to this question today. I was just at the site today because my girlfriend was a winner. I'm actually hoping I remember to sign up next November.
