It Looks Like Oprah and Dr. Phil are on the outs

Oprah is angry. Dr. Phil (in her opinion - her total creation)is embarrassing her time and again. This time, someone from Dr. Phil's team paid nearly thirty thousand dollars to bail out a Florida teenager who who she was part of the gang of girls who beat up a girl to the unconsciousness. The girl was a cheerleader. The video can be seen online on youtube. As disgusting as that is. They took the cheerleader and slammed her head against the wall until she was unconscious. when she awoke, they beat her some more so that they could get in a half an hour of this brutality on film. Dr. Phil thought it would be a good idea to do instant therapy with one of the attackers and his team posted thirty big ones for bail. When it all hit the fan, his team got mad at the person who paid the bail. Right. Like anyone can just go spend thirty thousand dollars of someone else's money. And this comes on the wake of Dr. Phil deciding he was going to save Britney Spears in January. He waltzed into her hospital room to play doctor and spread all her personal information to the press. Oprah nearly had a melt down. But the worst thing Dr Phil ever did to Oprah was market his weight loss pills. These worthless pills were branded as if your shape mattered. He had pills for apple shaped people, pear shaped people etc. None of the pills worked and he knew it in advance. He had to pay a huge fine from the FTC and stay out of the weight loss business forever. Oprah went public against his marketing of pills. You see, Oprah struggled with weight loss her whole life. And she tried and failed at everything. So now when she recommends something, it's because she knows it works. In the new Oprah magazine, there's an article about losing weight for women over 40. Guess what they recommend - that's right. Yoga. In fact, I went to check Oprah's website. There are dozens of articles recommending yoga and which type to choose. But if you want to chose a program to lose weight, it makes sense to chose one that is based around common sense and weight loss. And one that everyone can do from beginners to advanced. That leaves only one choice. http://www.yogaweightlossdiet.com PeaceHarlan Kilstein Ed.D. so what do you think about this whole charade? I think Oprah is justified in her anger against Dr. Phil, and Dr. Phil is going overboard now. I am starting to lose my respect for him.

I don't like any of those kinds of shows. I don't like much day time programing except the interview type shows like Oprah, Martha Stewart, Ellen, etc. I don't even like the Judge shows and I ended up on one!

It was Judge Alex, they have never shown it, I think they only filmed it because all I wanted was the case to be dismissed with prejudice. So, they wouldn't be out any more money besides what they had already spent getting us down there and all. then the b*tch had the gall to show up and want her "old job back" she's lucky it wasn't me that found her on my front step - I'd've called the cops.

I am starting to lose my respect for him also. No one in this world is perfect like he portrays himself to be sometimes. I do believe that he has helped alot of people but I do not believe that is the most caring and knowledgeable person around. I think Oprah is justified too.

I can understand anyone being upset at him for doing these things, but I am not sure why Oprah should take it personally. They used to have a really great relationship.

because she was the one who said how great he was so that would be her integrity or her judgment on the line I guess

I think that all of the stuff going on now will cost him show. And plus the tabloids are now talking about him and his wife getting divorced.

the tabloids are garbage, he said on his show already that he and his wife are not getting a divorce.

ive never had any respect for him in the first place.. and i lost respect for her ages ago as well. this is just another rosie odonnell scream fest ratings ploy to try and work the public into a froth. unfortunately, it works, so whats that say for the populice? ive little use for the talk show circuit, and stopped watching them back in the day of the capones safe fiasco. waste of time and air waves as far as im concerned

I think he could have given that girl his therapy at the jail rather than bailing her out. I am sure it will be on his show though, and that was probably what she demanded to appear on his show. The pill fiasco is new to me, I did not know about that. As for Britney he had said that the family had invited him to talk to her. All he really said is that she definately needed some psycholigical help, whic I think we all knew. I can understand why Oprah would be embarraced, but then again he is his own man.

I used to watch Dr. Phil alot and took his advice before others alot and placed his advice very high as "THE WORD OF TRUTH" But lately I haven't even watched it. Not really since the Britney thing. I never knew he wasn't a licensed Doctor. Yes he is going overboard and his head of getting to big for his body when h ethinks he can interfere like he has. Yes, he has and probably will give some good advice but with the things the way they are not alot of people will be listening. He is starting to rock that high pedastool that everyone has put him on all these years and if he keeps it up he will fall and fall hard and no one will be there to cushion his fall from grace not even Oprah, Love can only spread so far and thin before it breaks. Maybe he will be able to recover from this I don't know but he should have let a little more time pass before he did what he did, and your right no one can take that amount of someones money and that have the okay first especially His money. He sounds as though he is backpedaling pretty fast just hope he makes it up the landslide he has made for himself.

I really like both Oprah and Dr. Phil but lately I am getting irritated. Every show runs its course and people loose interest eventually. What I see now that both are scrambling for ratings. I think Dr. Phil did the wrong thing on two occasions. One, to see Britney Spears when not invited, two to bail out this criminal girl. He could have gone to the jail and asked if any of these teenagers wanted his services for free.

Oprah has been on for over 20 years maybe 30 I don't know, but I do not think that she will be disappearing, Dr. Phil, I don't know, he is starting to get way too political as well.

Sounds like Dr. Phil may need a little counseling himself. I heard about what he did to Britney which was totally irresponsible, unprofessional, and just plain mean. This deal with him bailing out the cheerleader was stupid. I thought he was all about owning up to your mistakes and paying for them.

I for one have never liked Dr. Phil to begin with. I mean he is rude on a lot of his talk shows and speaks negitave to people. Even overweight people. He's not so skinny his self to be cutting down others about losing weight.

I am not a fan of Oprah or Dr. Phil. But one thing that I heard that I do not feel is right is that Dr. Phil still hast to pay Oprah for "discovering him." She has enough money of her own. I do not know what kind of contract he signed with her or for how long, but I do feel that she has collected enough of her share of his money. I understand investments and all that, but my goodness. I think to continue to charge him is being a bit greedy.

Dr. Phil acts to me like a conceited, know-it-all, jerk! He makes big bucks at other peoples expense. I'm sure if all his secrets were known he would not be so perfect.

I agree with you, I agree with Oprah I just hope it's not all just for the sake of public relations and ratings, like I assume it is about. I don't see her as high and mighty she is human and she is after the money too. I do think Phil took advantage of his situation tho in all mentioned counts. I've lost respect for both of them but if I had to choose one I think Oprah is more legit.

I think Oprah has the right to her opinion of what she thinks of this matter, but Dr.Phil has been around a long time and is not really associated with Oprah anymore but on his own and if he does something wrong i don't feel it affects Oprah but only Dr.Phil just as if he does good the same applies

Good points, dr. phil is his own person, and it should not affect Oprah as she is her own person as well.

Honestly, I never liked Dr. Phil. I only watched one episode and didn't find him one bit interested at all. As for Oprah and her diet plan, I don't think Yoga is for me. I tried it once and my body won't let me do it. I have fibromyalgia and my ligments in my knees just won't let me. Once I did excercise and omg, I couldn't even roll my butt out of bed, my husband had to roll me off of it just so I could go to the bathroom, .

Hi winterose, I find all of this appalling behaviour, on Dr. Phil's part. There's no way that girl should've even gotten out on bail, as far as I'm concerned. I was also extremely unimpressed with the Britney Spears fiasco, and hadn't even heard about the diet pills. I used to watch Dr. Phil, but no longer do, as I see him in a very negative light now.
