When you have a beer, at home or out, do you prefer a glass or out of the bottle

I drink bottles or cans of beer or alcopops when I have a drink.
I have always drunk out of the bottle, my mum used to run a pub and when I went in for a drink she would always put it in a glass no matter what I said, because she said that dogs pee up the bottle, plus it was not ladylike to drink it out of the bottle!! I said to her "Mum, when did I ever claim to be a lady!" I used to try to avoid her serving me so that I could have it out of the bottle!!
When I went out on Friday just gone, most of the pubs just gave it me in the bottle, but in one pub we went in, we were served by a girl and she kept putting it in a glass and I asked her to just give me the bottle as I liked it better, but she said she could not, but I noticed that she gave bottles out to other customers, plus, they were plastic bottles!!Not like they were glass and could be used as weapons for goodness sakes!
I just think it tastes better out of the bottle(or maybe that is the dog pee that makes it taste better), and it does not go as flat quick.
So do you prefer to drink out of the bottle or can, or do you like it better in a glass?

Rose..hi...im a glass person myself...I always sort of get my mouth stuck if i drink from the bottle!!!..but ive always preffered a glass...
Lots of years ago it used to be Babycham...you remember that??..a lovely little glass with the babysham deer on it....then you had a cherry perched on top of it...a cherry on a cocktail stick...
Now this is going to sound really old fashioned...but lol im definately not into pint pots!!!.....a lot of females love a big pint glass...I know a lot of friends that doo!!!!!!...but I just prefer a small glass...
But a lot like to swig from the bottle now....its the in thing

Um, how do you get your mouth stuck exactly?? I do remember babycham yes, liked a snowball better though. Oh I used to always drink out of a pint pot, out of sight of me mum of course, I remember being in my early 20s, I would drink around 10 pints when I went out!!

Right...an explanation....when you suck inwards to drink..it kind of creates a vacuum between the bottle and you lips...and the suction sort of gets your lips stuck!!!!....with me now????
Now I like a brandy....but ten pints would absolutely floor me...I think that I would be in intensive care!!!!!!lolol

Well, I am very glad to hear that you do not sit swigging it out of a big litre or 2 litre bottle.

I like to pour it into a glass. It goes down smoother. I tend to drink it faster if it's in glass but that's okay. I dont like having the foam go everywhere if I try to drink it too fast or if someone decides to tap the top of my bottle making foam go everywhere.

A lot of people say that you know, so it is not that odd to hear actually!

I so agree with you, it tastes way better out of the bottle. No glasses and absolutly no cans for me. I hate the cans they taste like tin.

I prefer to drink in the glass. That is the traditional way of drink, I think.

When I did drink i prefered it out of the bottle too. It seems to stay colder longer and as you said it doesnt go flat so fast.

It depends on where i am dring. If am home i prefer drinking out of the bottle and enjoy in drinking so. If i am out wih my friends on a party even then i prefer drinking out of the bottle. If that is a social gathering where many ppl meet then i prefer a glass instead of the bottle. Most of the pubs here serve in a glass rather than a bottle so that when we are drunk they need not worry about the bottles being broken. Offcourse i never broke bottles anyway.

I think your mother's right.Human inborn have some distinction from other animals in that human are culturalized
genatically .it is socially polite to drink out of glass. It's ok drink out of the bottle though, especially at home, your mother just wants to impress upon you following the custom can be more socially connected with the persons around us.
