Anyone know a program where you type in someones IP address and it tells u where they are located?

yes u can find the location but not exact go to
www.geobytes.com/iplocator.htm?getlocation and enter the ip adress of your like rhen it will trace for u

There are several sites that offer this feature, but as you say they are far from accurate. The IP address is specific for your computer but it is allocated by the ISP, so it is the ISP that is located. My IP address would show up as London, which is about 200 miles from where I live.

Note that if your ex actually knows what he's doing, he'll bypass it altogether in a matter of minutes by forwarding his traffic to a proxy that then interacts with your machine on his behalf, effectively masking his IP address and allowing him access once again. He can always find new proxies, so it's of no use trying to block each one. I'd suggest learning a bit about computer security and then just fixing whatever hole that's allowing him access. I (and some fellow ethical hackers on mylot, I'm sure) would be happy to assess your PC and tell you how he got in, if you wish. If you want to go this route, just PM me (and whoever else is willing to help) with your IP address.

I think this is not asked for the malicious reasons. But to help you out, I would say that there are a lot of softwares available on net that tell the location of the IP address. Eg. Mcaffe firewall, WereisIP etc. I am sure this will solve your problem.
