I am thinking of starting up the South beach diet again. I've strayed too far from the path of healthy eating and need to get back on track. recentl I made a lentil chili that came out quite well, but I am wondering if lentils are approved for phase 1 of the South Beach diet.
I know they are good for you because of the protien and fiber so I am hoping they are phase 1 friendly. They are also very affordable so that makes them even more appealing!
I hope some experienced South Beacher can weight in and let me know!

Well i dont wanna bust any bubbles here but im not a fan of any of those commercial diets, in fact i resent them. It dosent have to be as hard as a lot of people make it out to be. Its really quite simple its only up to you to stay on tract with eating healty clean foods 5-6 times a day..Now i dont know your goal exactly but i would like to know:) we could buddy up and I could help u to reach whatever physical goal you are trying to meet!

I'm not sure south beach would be classified as a commercial diet and there is nothing hard about doing it. It's really not a diet, it's a way of eating that's really good for your heart, cholesterol, blood pressure, etc. It's just one of the great benefits that it controls weight as well.

Yes when you are on south beach u are trying to lose weight because in that phase 1 your restricted on most if not all carbs...therefore considered a diet...then phase two then phase three where you can add all your carbs back in....then he's gonna have you start the dang thing all over again...but thats cool if you see any results let me know how it goes...

Really my goal is to get back on track with healthy eating....by doing phase 1 for two weeks, I hope to get some self control back! I have done this before and it works well for me and actually makes me feel better (probably becuase I eat a lot of veggies and lean protein like chicken and fish). Withthe warm weather starting this is a lot easier, as there is a much better selection of vegatables out there!
