people are people whatever we do, no matter what. I think we should get use to that and try to adapt to these situations and be ready for them. Well maybe you have been in a situation that made you think like that. but do not bother your self too much. take it as a lesson that may teach you how to deal in the next time.

People just like to be right, and they always think they are.
About the guy next door discussion on the phone today, don't worry I am not going to ask him. Lol, I was just thinking of the backyard for the baby.

That is a good question. sometimes people just figure you do not mean what you say and they can get around you and make you change your mind. Other times it could be just a simple misunder standing and they really thought you said yes or no when you really said the opposite. And there are people who are so arrogant that they believe you will do as they say no matter what . Anyway people are all too human and we all goof at times and change our minds and act like idiots.YOu really cannot find a perfect human being, just some that are close to that but not perfect.
