Do you wash new clothes before using it?

Yes, I do. I see to it that new clothes are washed first before it is used. There might be millions of germs on it starting from its manufacture in the factory, warehouse, transporting to the store outlets, in the racks and while on display. I think it is but necessary to have it washed first. Aside from that, the scent of a new shirt makes me sneeze.

Like you I never wash new clothes before wearing but I washed it now because of a documentary film that I watched. They show you how they plant cotton and how they make cloth etc... The whole thing look horrible and dirty.

No i never was new clothes. Sometimes i do it just to check if the color is fading or not otherwise i don't.I just wear them straight. But after reading this thread i think i will wash dem before wearing them. ~pinks~

Yes I do. This is because wearing new clothes without washing them seem to be itchy. Is there anybody feel the same or is it just me ?

Yes I do wash my new bought clothes, because here in the Philippines new clothes dont smeel as good as when you're in the states, I dont know why, maybe because of the climate.And like what everyone else said, you dont know where it came from and how many people touched it.

I usually wash the new clothes before use ,cause i think there are so many harmful things on the clothes!

No I don't. I love the smell of new clothes. I've never really thought about where the clothes have been before. I guess in a factory being made by 7 year old Chinese girls but anyway.

I will never wear anything used or new without washing it first, even something I already own.

I like to wash my clothes first because I saw a thing on tv wear to make a pair of underware 21 people touched it. So, I thought ewww and now I wash my clothes first.

I work in retail, believe me you should wash any piece of apparel that you purchase.I wish I had a dollar for every thing I pick up off the floor. Remember also that sometimes the pieces are tried on by many different people that come through the door from many different walks of life. Please wash them.
