Have you ever rated negative to a response....

Come to think of it I have never rated bad even thought there might have needed a bad rating.

yes, i have rated someone with negative response. i think that was with a thread that he kept on talking nonsense and is seemingly starting a fight with the thread owner.

if the person is abusive they get reported and rated negative from me. I may also rate negative if the answer is completely off topic. I don't rate negative if the person disagree with me as long as the response is good brings up good points and is respectful.

i never have rated anyone negative. the answer may be totally against me but i still do not. why to rate negative which can reduce the reputation of the user. i think all have the right to discuss freely here.

I have not ever rated someone a negative rating. But I have rated one person with an abuse rating since she wouldn't leave mea lone and she stalked me and posted terrible stuff on all of my discussions and responses to other's discussions. I marked her abusive for a week till she finally was gone. I think that after awhile mylot finally got rid of her or at least warned her, because she is finally leaving me alone. So if I think someone wrote a bad response I just don't rate them at all, unless abusive. I do rate everybody with a positive rating, that put some effort into their post.

I tend to rate negatively when a person seems to answer my discussion off topic, or posts referral links. I also have rated people negatively if they have tried to argue with me on a subject, when I know that I am right about it. I've rated negatively if someones views seemed to be moraly disturbing to me as well. I usually don't rate many people negative though, in fact, it's probably a 95% chance that I am going to rate a positive over a negative.

Pretty sure I haven't. Even a post I don't like, I'm not mean enough to give negatives to soemone just because I didn't care for their post. Then again I don't usually rate comments and posts at all unles it's in something I started, where I usually rate + for anyone who at least appeared to try to string together a coherent sentence.

I do not rate them at all if I don't like the meaning or the answer. I don't like negative rate I rather leave it unrate.

Let's see, I just started using MyLot for 3 days and I haven't rate a comment or response negatively, yet. But I hope I don't ever have to give negative rating to a response. But like some things that Hatley mentioned, which I agree, I would give negative rating to the response who give a bad nasty comment on my discussion or posts and or treat others bad.
