This is courageous movie and truly inspiring. This is my favorite movie well taken

Hmm they wanted it to go a certain way? They didn't care? It was in the Fates? Hard to say as none of us were there :/.

because they went on there own and without permission from the elders. so they basically fought for there honor and freedom and eventually won in the end

The old people on the hill are like the prophets of their God. So they seek advice and grace to them on any decisions the kings would like be done. But before Leonidas go to them the Persians bribe them with golds and money by the help of one politician of King Leonidas which i forgot the name. Thats why they don't want leonidas got to war. and that advice makes politician of Sparta prevent their soldiers to join the King

300 is an absolutely terrific movie. the attitude, the valour the spartans display send a chill down my spine. so much to keep their honour. they challenged and even demured a person who projected himself as god. i think they were bogged down by the wrong priests who just had no respect for these warriors. my personal favorite line in the movie when the king says : SPARTANS NEVER RETREAT!!!!!!!!!!

AH those old people you speak of only cared about money and riches, they could give 2 damns about leonidus and his army. They actually wanted zerkzies to take over because if he took over the land there would of been more money in it for them. So in reality there were not for the king, they were against him and his people and they were for zerkzies taking over the land..good movie
