Office XP Installation problem

Recently I had installed office xp and it got successfully installed no errors came while installing but after that when ever i am opening any office application its starting pre installation and then its opening the document or xls whatever.
Did any one faced this kind of problem can you help to resolve this.
My OS is windows xp home editon sp2

You are trying to use features that are not available from the installation, so you need to reconfigure the setup. Fortunately there is no need to remove office and reinstall, you can insert the installation disk and select the option to amend the features.
Ensure that all features are set to run from the hard drive. This will take a fair amount of drive space but is the easiest way to use the program.

hi ankilla, i have faced a problem like that once, but i have fixed it now by reinstalling the operating system, i reinstall my operating system once in two weeks, its bad for my pc but am tired of too many viruses, i recommend you to reinstall the operating system, if it did not work try to install Microsoft office, if it did not work too, i think you should buy another operating system, many operating system cds are too sensitive to lost data with a little scratch, i wish you success with your computer, thanks for reading my response, happy my lotting!!
