I have an Epson R300 at the moment. I have always tended to buy Epson printers because the compatable ink cartridges are much easier to find. The cost of manufacturer's ink cartridges is formidable and not really justified, so buying compatable inks makes the use of a printer far more economical.
Canon and Lexmark both make some good quality printers, but I see no point in buying a printer if it is expensive to operate.

I;ve got a Canon printer, I got it cheap and it really does the job I bought it for, so I am satisfied with it.

Right now I have an Epson printer and it has been pretty good. I have had it for a couple of years. It told me that it was getting ready to wear out. I need to start looking for a new one soon. What kind of ink cartridges does you canon take?

I have only bought one printer since I first bought my computer. It is an Epson Stylus C80. It is out of ink right now though. I am waiting for the cartidges to come in so I can buy them. they are out of stock right now. I buy the cheaper brands. It works very well also. I bet your Canon is really nice.

At home we do not have a printer but at our office we have two, one is Epson dot matrix and another is HP laserjet printer and scanner. It is very good and have been using it for sometime now. Epson Dot matrix we use rarely, only when we have to print that type of document. Otherwise we print everything in the HP laserjet only.
