No, i wouldn't day i 'freak out' after alllife is far too short to get stressed over spots and there are far too many more important things to stress out about instead! I get a bit annoyed, after all no one wants a big red spot on their nose or chin! I figure that's why concealer was made though.

I totally freak out. I am not accustomed to having pimples on my face and I usually get one or two at a time, thank goodness. But when I do they are so...large...
I usually get them on my nose or forehead though. I have to say I am lucky that puberty was nice on me and I didn't go through the "keyboard face" phase.
Girls always used to ask me what cream I used on my face and I told them, normal face cream. From what I understood when they spoke to me though, they were using a variety of products on their face which is why I think they must have developed pimples.
As for low self esteem, I really actually don't get low self esteem. I usually just nag about it for a 5 minutes with my boyfriend and that's about it. I go about life as normal.

It's good that you don't get pimples often. Me too, I get one or two occasionally but not many. I have a friend who has really serious pimple problem and she actually needs to go to doctor and take medication.

I wouldn't say that I freak out about it. I don't like getting them, but I also know that it's a part of life and that I am going to get them. I just do my best to keep my face clean.

Well I certainly am no happy about it. My major problem is compulsively picking at an blemishes on my skin. I know it makes it take longer to heal but i just can't stop myself for some reason. I think it has somehting to do with being picked on growing up for breaking out.

Neah i never freak out but it doesnt look good. When these things appear i try to rectify them by applying gel, cream, etc whichever can reduce them.
It is a law of nature and i feel no one can do anything about it than taking protection.

i would be depressed to if another pimple shows up on my face especially if there's an old one that hasn't been totally gone yet. i don't know why in this age of mine, i'm already 26, i still get pimples while when i was a teenager, i hardly ever had one. i'm inclined to think that its because of my allergies, which i only got when i was in college, that i'm having pimples so late in my life. i would be a little down and my self-esteem would decrease but i do my best to not think about it and be happy with how i look. there are other people out there who have worser conditions and some are even physically disabled so i would just have to be thankful that i don't have graver problems like them.

Your condition is known as adult acne. You tend to get it at your chin and jawlines. You survive your teenager period acneless but it catches you during your adulthood. It might be due to hormone breakout. If you get more pimples during one week before your period, it is definitely due to hormone.Whatever the cause, don't wait for it to outgrow by itself as it won't
You can use Acnomel which is meant for adult acne.Initially dun use too much and frequent.let your skin adapt to it.Then slowly increase the frequency and amount.Dun worry if u get more pimples initially. It might be due to the comedones (blackheads and whiteheads) that are being pushed to the top of your skin.It is helping the content to clear out.

hi flowerhorn! thanks for that very informative response. so that's what my condition is. you're right that the pimples often appear in my jawlines but i still get it on my cheeks. i don't know if we have acmenol here, what i'm using is panoxyl and i think its effective although it doesn't really clear it all out. i've lessen my oily food intake and i actually don't eat pork nowadays and i drink a lot of water everyday and eat lots of fruits to fight my acne problem. and its very effective that way. my only problem is the acne leave marks so i use cream and cleanser that lightens the dark spots. thanks for your suggestion.

My skin is quite sensitive and usually a couple of pimples would pop up if I'm stressed up or lack of sleep. I wouldn't freak out if I notice pimples on my face but it's kinda irritating so I usually squeeze them out. I hate it when they pop up near my mouth because it's hard to squeeze them there.

I do too. Sometimes,i don't like going out because of this. I hate it when a person talking to you looks at your face and look into your pimple. I just hate it. That's why im so self- conscious.

No. I will not be complete without pimples. Haha...
I used to have pretty clean face with occasional (almost rare) breakouts and that was during my teenage years when I didn't even bother to wash my face with selected products specially made for the face. Now I'm 23 and I have zits all the time (my bf said I'm experiencing puberty) after I started washing my face regularly and picking up 'anti-bacteria' 'acne fighting' 'spot clearing' products on the supermarket shelf. Ironic huh? And Dalacyn-T that works on all my friends actually causes me more of those tiny zits on my face. *sigh*
Give a piece of dark chocolate to your friend. There's nothing to worry about a few zits that will go away in a few days. And no, chocolate won't cause zits.

Sorry to disappoint you but I have no problems even with a face full of pimples.
You just got to treat it.What's the big deal?
But for most people it is very annoying and can cause low self esteem and embarrassment as you put it.It just nature we want to look beautiful.
And pimples are standing in the ways of attaining beauty. that's why we are so down when we have pimples.
It does take time to make it away

As u didn't get many pimples,it won't understand him.I mean who wouldn't want a flawless skin. And pimples is standing in the way. This thing cannot just be remove by picking it away.I'm sure not only your friend has low self esteem, but he has self embarassment as well.Pimples can really change people.
You are right in asking him to see a dermatologist.Normally guy delay treatment. If u really want to help me,get him some medication.I recommend neutrogena on the spot,it has the lowest content of benzoyl peroxide in the market.Benzoyl peroxide work great in keepimg pimples at bay. Ask him to use once a day initially and put a thin coating on his whole face, not on the spots only.

When I have pimples on my face, which normally happens when I have my monthly period, I'd rather stay in my room and just keep my face from dust outside and from make-up. I usually wash my face when it gets oily.
I feel conscious too when I'm out. If I know I have a big zit on my face, I know it won't look good.
