I've joined Helium and so far have made only one cent there... I looked today and couldn't believe it... one cent. I just joined Triond as well and have two articles there... Wondering how best to work these sites or if I should just forget it... seems like there is a lot of work required to earn anything. That one cent was for four or five articles. I am wondering if you have made money on these sites, how do you do it. Also, do you use your real name for the pen name or are you using something else. I am wondering again the things that I should know in order to make these sites work best for me as a writer. I would also like to know if there are any other writing sites that pay more.

What you say is so true. Making money out of these sites is like near to impossible. I went and bought a 100 page website and nothing happened to it. But I love to write and so I write regularly to Ezine articles. So far all my articles have been accepted. Im hoping the high traffic circulation and a good name at the site will help me get recognition as a writer. Wish you the best

Is Ezine another site or a type of site... I am glad that you have had success in getting accepted. Hoping that you get what you want.

Ezine is a site that reviews and publishes your artciles. If your articles are well accepted, you get an expert author status. As a beginner you can submit 10 article. I have submitted 5 so far. Four are published and one is being reviewed. You can also list your website in the resources column. You are not paid, but it is an excellent way to establish yourself as a freelancer and get noticed.

I write strictly for Triond.com. I believe AC is for U.S. citizens only and I am Canadian. Besides, they have strict requirements. All Triond wants is that grammar be correct and that it is an original piece of writing not previously published. There's no word number requirement and you can write about anything you want. I've seen articles on there that were similar to my own (same topic, same general idea - ie. coping with fibromyalgia). They don't page much unless you are very active. There are people who submit articles/stories/poems/photos every day. They are the ones making the real money. I'm lucky if I submit one a month so I'm not making much.

I am wondering how much you have gotten in any one month... I was finding that site a little difficult to navigate. I was wondering how they decide ranking and payment... Is is soley by the number of visits or do people vote on the material as they seem to vote on the material at Helium? I am curious about how do succeed on Triond apart from just excessive contributions.

I write for associated content and I absolutly love it, I have almost 100 article and have been paid upfront for almost everyone, plus performance payment. Triond is another great sites with very few requirement I only have a few article with them and make between 3 and 5 dollars a month from them off of page views, that will go up the more I write. Helium is okay, not my favorite, they don't pay upfront and you really don't earn well from page views. I also just signed up for another writing site the other day but have yet to write anyhting for them. I believe it is called something like hud pages, I don't recall and can not find were i wrote it down. There is also constant content, they pay really good if your article is accepted. Hope this helps

It does and I am kicking myself that I did Helium first... so far I have only made about 13 cents there. It is a sad thing to write so much for so little. Thanks for telling me about your experience of the other sites.

Hey whiteheron! I write for eHow.com and have been doing fantastic there. My first month I only made $5.00, my second month was $23.00; then last month, only the third month, I made $90. I have already made $80 this month and I still have half the month to go!!!!! No, I'm not getting rich, but I am getting paid for my efforts. Just to give you an idea, I have 157 articles there, so it does take a little time to build up, but is VERY well worth it. Also, if you're into affiliate or article marketing, there is a place to list resources and links to your site or affiliate sites. And eHow beats low-traffic websites hands down. I have had as many as 290 views of an article in just one day. I can barely get that many visitors to my website in one month! :) Best of Luck!!

Yeah, it's how to articles, but they're very easy to write, really! With eHow, there are no requirements on length and no review process. Your articles get published instantly and you start earning immediately! I'm sure you know how to do tons of things that you could write simple how-tos on....check out my article and you'll see how easy it is: www.ehow.com/members/dovinea.html.

Wondering if that site only takes how to articles... What types of articles do you write there? I am not sure that I am good at writing that type of article... I must admit that I got rejected at Daytipper too many times to be confident.
