yup.that's my sink.
we have a joke that we have magic sink leprechauns that eat all the food and leave dirty dishes.
seems to be the story, anyway as no one else in the house will admit to filling that sink overnight.:)

I know! It's never ending. That's why I like to do the dishes as soon as they start to pile up. I would rather do little piles of dishes a couple times a day then one huge wash every couple of days. I like to keep on top of it.
The same goes with the laundry. If I put it off I just end up with a huge pile of washing to fold and put away. I find that I can handle housework when I do it in small, frequent loads!

I told my Husband last night I wasnt washing his clothes anymore!!! :o) He NEVER helps me fold or anything. He brings clothes down from the bedroom that he plans on wearing but if he decides not to he throws the clothes on top of the dryer instead of bringing them back upstairs!!! I was thinking that I should just buy paper plates, bowls and plastic utensils so i can just throw them away after everyone eats!!! :o)

I am thankful that my boyfriend helps with laundry but thats because he brings home like 2 big bags of laundry from work and its got graphite all over it lol, but the dishes....I dont think he'd do that if I offered "favors" for the rest of his life lmao

I have to agree with you on this one. Around my house, I've let the dishes sit and see if my husband will do them AND I kid you not, they will be there a day or two later just waiting for me to do them. I try to make it a habit to wash dishes every night, so I start the new day off with no dishes.
Laundry doesn't really bother me because since I don't have a washer/dryer at home, I'm allowed to take it to work with me as long as I produce my own soap. With so much downtime on third shift, it gives me something extra to do and it helps to know that I'm accomplishing something that needs to be done at home as well. :-)
In general, I hate all housecleaning. It seems like as clean as you think your house is.. there's always something waiting to get done!

I know what you mean. The never ending pile of clothes. Everyday I do laundry. can't figure out where it all comes from LOL. I hate to vacuum because my vacuum is so loud. And picking up the never ending mess. When I pick something up and come back a few minutes later its like I never picked up lol. Can be aggravating.

even with just the two of us, my adult son and I there are always dishes in the sink and guess what he does not wash dishes.okay that is moms work uh huh! so sometimes I get on the computer and start mylotting and let the dishes just stay there for awhile. well he did wash his own plate and silverware.hurray for that.dish washing is the one household chore that I simply hate. i can sweep and dust and mop and it states clean for awhile but dishes just seem to breed in that kitchen an muliply
like bunny rabbits lol

Haha...I know exactly what you mean! The worst part for me is, there's only 2 of us...I don't want to think about what's it's going to be like when we have a couple of kids running around making their own messes. As far as the dishes are concerned, we are lucky and own a dishwasher...now if I can just teach my husband to fill it instead of putting his dirty dishes in the sink!

Yes, it is like this in our house too, the dishes, the laundry and the mess that the kids make. I seem to tidy up and then the kids come home from school and within half an hour it looks like I have thrown a party and let the whole street attend. It is a nightmare, how do they make such mess with nothing. I get sick of it day in day out, it would be nice to something other than clean up all day long!!

I dont mind housework in general but I hate washing the dishes its just so boring and yes there is always something, especially with my two kids il wash the pots after lunch then they will want a snack so makes more mess short of making them eat off the floor rather than a plate not much I can do to change it lol
