What do I think - wow - get ready to see my star rating go down - LOL!
I believe God doesn't have a identity crisis - he doesn't care what name you call him, .
I believe God has a sense of humor - he/she/it created giraffes and elephants - what more proof do you need?
I believe man, not God created religious differences - the bible says "thou shall have no other gods before me" not thou shall have no other gods.
I believe we are all Gods creatures - white/black, gay/straight, conservative/liberal - its man that make the distinction.
I believe religion is a human construct.
I believe that if God really felt as strongly about certain issues as so called "religious leaders" want you to believe. This is the person that created the universe - don't you think they are perfectly capable of reducing a group to a smoking pile of ashes if he/she/it were offended.
I believe we all have a purpose. If we are unable to recognize it, thats our fault, not Gods. To believe we can ever comprehend a mind capable of creating a universe is the epitome of conceit.
But those are just my opinions

I love your post and i don't think your star will fall because of it. I not only laughed but agreed with all you said. It is how I feel as well. The god(s) don't care what we call them or the rituals we preform. It/He/She/They are probably sitting up there laughing at the fact that people are so silly to argue about who is right about them. Let's face it don't we laugh at kids who argue as to who is the best parent?

Thank you! I've always wondered at these people on TV that have a "direct line to God" - I mean, come on - a being that can create worlds is gonna talk to some idiot with a bad toupee!!! Some guy I wouldn't trust to sell me car insurance is Gods "chosen"? Sorry, not buying - I figure if god is really unhappy - he has his ways of making it known. If you believe this is the biblical god that turned Lots wife into a pillar of salt - don't you think a few well chosen lightening bolts would get the point across???? If I'm not seeing those lightening bolts then I figure he's not that offended!

i think that a lot of religions have the same sort of aim.. i.e. peace, loving neighbours, etc. maybe there's just one kinda.. source, and different cultures/types of people have interpreted it all differently? i'm not bothered about how many religions they are...people can think what they like as long as it doesn't harm other people, i just think they're all quite similar lol

There are a lot of people who say their religion is the best one and all others are wrong. I believe what I do and I know there are others who don't so I don't push my faith on anyone else. If asked I will express what I believe and have a discussion, I'll also ask about another's beliefs so I can understand them better. I think that's what is importance, tolerance of each other.

Personally I think all these people who condemn others for what they believe are going to be in for a shock when they go to the next world and are judged by their own measuring stick. I think most of them will find they don't measure up.
In my opinion the gods could care less what we call them. I think the reason we have so many beliefs out there is because the gods revealed themselves to the people in a way that could be accepted. They are all the same just different concepts that man can handle. For example to one set they were shown gods that represented different aspects of nature but to another they showed a man who was willing to die for them, what ever the humans needed at the time they showed.
I also think far too many people have been hurt and/or killed over religion and who is right. Let everyone believe what they want and let it go. What good comes of trying to force others to one form of belief system? Does it make us better then anyone else? No it doesn't. We need to let it end and let everyone believe what they want.

I believe we should respect each other's religion and not bash on them. As long as what they're doing is right (the universal righteousness like helping the needy, feeding the hungry, tending to the sick, etc..) then you don't have any right on telling them what to believe in.
