Dealing with potholes on my road is an every day event around here. I live on a gravel road and with all of the rain we have had recently a lot of the gravel has washed away. There are a bunch of potholes on our road right now. Nothing has happened to the car because of them yet, but I am sure that is just a matter of time.

I don't really focus too much on potholes. I try to avoid them, they are a mild annoyance, I might even drive a different path to go around a big one I know is there.
But, a few years ago, a pothole near my sister's shop opened up into the storm drain. Apparently, water had washed out some of the ground under the street, causing a big hole. I recall that there was some argument over who should fix it. That slowed down the process.

This is an ongoing problem in the county we live in. We are supposedly the poorest county in Indiana but we have the highest property taxes here. We pay good money to have these raods in suitable condition. They hardly ever do a thing to them. Most of the side roads are gravel without road signs also. There is always holes to try to avoid here.
