Which do you prefer? Which do you think is better? Why? I'm ready to invest in a computer and just want to know what others think. I'm a photographer and want something that will hold large files. Also, I live on the internet. Infact, I live on my computer, period.

theres no viruses cause no one cares to make them.
and most of the time, a new computer will come with virus protection, and windows has its own firewall, people just dont use it.

unless you find someone who has used both the PC and the MAC you will not get a biased opinion as like myself I have only used a PC (IBM) Compatible with MS Windows as the OS, and have never touched the MAC or the OS that it uses. So I am going to say PC all the Way, Some one who only uses a MAC will go the other way so get your oppinion from someone who has used both which is my recomendation

I prefer PC's just because there is so much Expandability! Granted Mac's do carry that sort of easy to use factor with them, mostly because you really cant do much with them..and i mean that in a hardware sense. Sure you can get your computer upgraded with "apple" parts but sadly they are over priced! I know because I have both. I have to admit I have used an Mac based Sound recording program and it killed over any I had tried on the PC. I wish I remembered the name of that! I guess to sum it all up would be...What are you really looking for? Gaming? Surfing and Listening to Music? 3D cad? Etc. If you wanted to game you would be in a very bad position with Mac's...not many companies release games that run for the mac also!

it seems to me, that you would be a lot better off with a mac. the main difference really, is that macs are geared more towards software, whereas a PC is more for interchanging parts and getting more functionality out of the hardware. instead of buying a new pc, you could just get a new processor. but macs arent really made that way, it tries to be all self contained for the ease of the user. if you dont intend to get into electronics or hardware or any fairly technical computer processes, then youre a mac person. if youre going to be using it for photography, mac all the way, its right up your alley. i think it will even come with any software you could ever need for all your picture taking and processing.
