I have three cats. We had dogs and cats growing up, but I think I prefer cats right now. I like that they are easy to take care of, easy to clean up after, and cuddly. I though about getting a dog, but with my son being the way he is (he is 3) we thought it would be best to wait until he is a little older to get one. Maybe once he knows enough not to harass them all the time, lol.

Hello, Bd200789!
You have two cats? Cats are nice pets! It is just a shame that they are not really clean and they do not rely on you. Perhaps this is what makes them special animals.
Here, at home, we have only one dog. A Boxer, don't know if you have ever heard about this breed. He is medium-sized, all white. It is a nice dog, he is very intelligent and very playful. All he wants to do is to play. Always playing, always running around the house, always asking you to play with him.
I, personally, like dogs more than cats. So does my mother. The difference is that I also like cats, while my mother doesn't. Dogs are the ones who will die by your side, they will do anything to keep you close, you can rely on them as if they were your best friends. They are really awesome animals. You certainly will hear, if you haven't heard yet, tons of stories about dogs who tried to save their owners by giving their own lives, or dogs who were unvaluable best friends.
Now, cats aren't like that. They leave your home, and usually only come back to eat and drink. It is like if they didn't need you. They always come back, but you don't have them nearby when you really need them. However, they do have you there for them when THEY need you. This is the sad thing about cats.
Respectfully,
Munhozmib.

I had dogs and cats. But I perfer cats, they clean themselves. With our dog we had to bathe her twice a week. She was spitz and lab mix. So she wasn't small.
