In 2004 we decided to go out and buy our dream car. A Jeep Grand Cherokee. Sure we had to scrimp and save to make the payments but we did it and now it's paid off! Here's the thing...It's a pig. I'm afraid that we will not be able to afford to keep it because of the high price of gas. We used to always purchase smaller cars, so filling the tank wasn't a big deal. Heck I remember being able to fill my tank for $20. Now we have to put out over $80 sometimes to fill the tank. I love my Jeep and do not want to get rid of it, but I'm afraid that we might have to. Is your Jeep a pig on gas too?

There are alot of ways to cut your fuel bill on your jeep. I have a 2004 Liberty, and I love my little SUV, I bet the crap out of it, and it loves it. You can start with the easy stuff and go from there. First off check your tires, look at the door and put the right amount of air in the tires. Second, look at your air cleaner and see if needs to be change. Next, you can change your spark plugs, and wires, this will help your fuel economy. You might also want to look at your fuel filter (if you have one). Another idea is to switch to synthetic oil, instead of conventional, I use Amsoil Series 2000 0W30 in my truck and YES there is a difference in fuel economy. Another idea is to use a very good fuel injection cleaner like Techron, at every oil change, this will also improve your fuel economy. I drive alot, and my Liberty gets about 24 miles per gallon, that is three miles above the EPA number, and we all know that the EPA number is not accurate. Good Luck
