My cat chewed up my BOB!!!

United States

He did! He chewed right through the cord connecting the battery box to the silver bullet! Just this morning! What a little devil he is. He's chewed through the charger cord for my cell phone and he's also chewed through the cord for the microphone stand that plugs into my computer. He's a cat, for cryin out loud, not a puppy!! Now I have to go get a new BOB! Not that that's necessarily a problem, but shite! I loved that BOB. Has anything remotely like this happened to you or your BOB? Did you get a new one? What kind did you get? I've got one in mind, and it's a doozy, but I'm going to have to send away from a catalog for it, dammit and that's going to take SOOOOO long!

BOB got bit and YOU'RE in a snit? ROFL Sorry about that. I remember having a Bob once. He was my ex. He was moving me out of my apartment shortly after we started dating and when he moved the bed, he and a couple of my friends found my other BOB nestled in the collar of my fur coat I had layed out under my bed due to lack of storage space. I've never been so embarrassed in my life! Bob held that BOB over my head for years afterwards and would only put the batteries back in when he wanted to use it on me. Men are such beasts! LOL

Yup, BOB got bit and I am indeed in a snit! Darn Nova! I love the story, Spark. But he was rather selfish, don't you think, only putting the batteries in when HE wanted to use it on you. What about when you wanted to use it all by yourself? Yes, men ARE beasts, and don't you love it? Mmm, I know I do.

Well, what a bad little cat. Chewing is a destructive habit. And your BOB of all things. I keep mine safely hidden away, so nobody, including the husband, cat or anyone can find. hee hee. I may have more than 1 design. The husband thinks that I only have the one HE BOUGHT me to use with him. hee hee. What he doesn't know won't hurt him. But makes me happy to have variety since he doesn't have very much himself. Have you ever heard of Ben Wa, nova? Combine them and BOB and boy what an earth shattering combination. I've been experimenting with them recently. On another note, I think I know how to cure your cat, if you're interested. But for now, buy a new BOB without a chord until he is cured as we wouldn't want that precious 'mouse' to be irritated in any way and disable you. Chord Chewing Cure: Put some vaseline on the chord and sprinkle with black pepper or even better....cayenne pepper. It may take a few weeks of repeat offenses and you checking the chords for any being wiped off and re-applying, but I have cured 'chewers' before that way. They really seem to like telephone sized chords the best.

Nova the pepper won't hurt them. Really it won't. If anything it'll clear their sinuses! LOL And didn't I tell you my Annie was SMART!

Oh, and one more thing before I forget. If you really NEED YOUR BOB before your catalogue order comes in, you can MacGiver it in the meantime to it is not completely useless. First take the batteries out..... then, bare the chords, just long enough to twist them back together. Match up the colours, if there are any. If not you probably only have 2 wires, so you have a 50% chance of getting it right, I think. Then, after successfully twisting the wires together, separately, actually, cover each wire with electrical tape, really tight now to prevent the wires from touching each other and to prevent electrical shock to you. Then you can also put another dose of electrical tape around the entire fixed area. You can temporarily tape the wires together, separately, you know, each single wire to another single wire, if you follow me.... then turn it on to test it and make sure you got it right. Before permanently taping it all up safely. I have had things run backwards sometimes when there are only 2 wires and I fixed them the wrong way. Just switched them around and viola! Fixed. That should tide you over so you don't get too frustrated.

I am, AnnieO, but probably after I get this one, I don't know. Doesn't the one I described above sound wonderful? It does to me! So, let's see, what do I have to buy? Ok, a g-spot, some ben wa's, and the clitoral suction cup thing, plus a new silver bullet too. Wow, that's a lot! But, like L'Oreal says, I'm worth it! Dontcha think? Oh yeah, baby.

My cat did that a few years ago to my phone charger so what I learned to do was tie up the cord as tight as possible, so there is nothing for him to sink his teeth into. What is a BOB?

venturellak, welcome to Mylot! And to my discussion too. That makes sense, what you did with your phone charger cord. And if you will refer to some of the other responses here, you will find out what a BOB is. As you go along here, you'll find that if you read some of the other responses in the discussions you answer, it'll clear up some of the questions you might have in advance of your response and save the original poster from having to re-explain something over and over. I wish I would have thought of tying up the cord on my BOB, but, sadly, didn't. I really didn't expect him to do it. After all, he hadn't done it in the past and he'd seen it often enough. He's such a little devil, though, full of mischief and trouble. And I love him to pieces.
