Deux Ex or Deus Ex II: Invisible War?

Despite the better graphics than the first Deus Ex, i think the second title wasn't as great as the first one. It was a shorter storyline than the first and changed good features that they should have kept in the first one like the "skills"

Deus Ex is widely known to be better than IW. Although I still enjoy playing IW every now and then.

What does IW stand for? I've never heard of the game.
