save money on gas?

I just read a local newspaper article about how to save money on gas. Mainly it said not to ride the acceleration and the brake when goin and stopping at lights. Also to carpool. If this is all there is to save money on gas i'm really worried. Prices are said to rise up to a good 5 dollars a gallon. Looks like some of us will be brushing the dust off our bikes...

Yes I am trying not to use my car as often these days at least our petrol here in Melbourne is only $1.50 a litre but we are still complaining because we are not used to it being that high, it is becoming scary, I guess the future will be buy even your groceries off the internet, it might be cheaper...maybe,....
