I'm from Canada and our smoking ban started a few years ago and I have to admit that at first well.. I hated it because I smoke and it's the adjusting that I couldn't get use to at first. But when I think about it who really likes changes anyway? I know I don't.. I like things the way they are. Anyhow I'm pretty use to this now and I've learned to accept it and actually think it's nice to walk into a public place such as a restaurant, shopping mall, casino, pretty much everywhere and breath easier.
Also now they are coming out with a new law soon where we won't be able to smoke in our vehicals with children under the age of 12 when they are present as well.. it's just another things we'll have to adjust to as well.

i dont smoke... and i hate smokers. it sticks to your breath and sticks to your clothes. i am in a band and yes everytime i come home after a gig i smell like one of them. i wish they will also banned smoking on close areas in our country. i think we need to teach the smokers disipline. if they want to smoke then smoke outside.

you seem like you have had enough!! Well I wouldn't say I hate the smokers... I hate the fact that most people start smoking just because they think its in style.. but they can't help it if they are addicted. I guess the smoking ban has helped a lot those who are affected by the smoke

No I'm not but I've tried it a few years ago. One of my friends influenced me. I experienced peer pressure. After two years of being a smoker, I managed to eradicate the bad habit by convincing myself that I can live without smoking. It's all in the mind.

I'm not a smoker and I love the smoking ban. I also work in a bar so it's great for me. The only smokers I know don't mind it because they have children and know that they'd rather not force the fumes on anyone else. We should have a choice whether we passive smoke or not, though I understand that in some circumstances it's a little harsh on those that can't help but to smoke.

cool, that's a good attitude that I don't find a lot in smoking parents... Most of them are so addicted that they are not usually concerned a lot about the people around them...
I guess whoever wants a smoke can always go outside for a couple of minutes for some fresh air :)
