I broke down and cut her hair

My 3 year old cut her hair by herself in January. I just let it grow because it wasn't all that bad, but tonight I broke down, I cut it. She had cut about a inch and half into the back of her hair and it was getting pretty raggy looking, so I cut it. I have NEVER cut hair other than trimming bangs, even when I do my husband's I use a buzzer for it all. I'm actually quite happy with the job I did.I ended up cutting about 4 inches off the back of her hair. There is a post somewhere that I posted the picture of her after she cut it and included in this one is the picture I took tonight after I cut it!

LOL...Thank you, its quite the change seeing her hair short, but she seems to like it. Not to mention I think its adorable, daddy on the other hand...He liked it long!

Men love long hair but they rarely want to be the ones washing and combing the hair! Ask him if he is willing to pay for her to get her hair washed and combed by a professional, as it does not cost much, and maybe then she will let it grow long again!

Her hair isn't bad to comb long. I just tired of it looking you tattered. He thinks its cute! But I know he prefers it long!

that's awesome, wish i could do that to myself, so that i wouldn't have to go to the barber to get my hair done.. hahaha

I should have said she chopped her hair...She took random snips at it...I wanted to cry!

I have had to do that many times! I did it to my own hair when I was a kid, and it had to be fixed. With my kids, there are times when the knots were winning the battle and I had to cut the hair. It is much easier when they have short hair until they can take care of it themselves!

We have the no more tangles stuff and it works wonders. I wish they had that stuff when I was a kid, YUCK the tangles I got!
