Good luck with your exam. After this event you can see if you can get a map of the city and go off exploring. You might like to buy a guide book and then you could plan a walking tour of the city, taking in the different sights. I know that museums and art galleries can be very interesting. If it is by the coast or has a river running through it then it might be relaxing for you to walk along the waters edge. Does it have a metro or bus service that you might like to ride on? When I travel I often make friends with my fellow travelers so I hope that you might make a few new friends. I find the day time is safe but after dark I prefer to be in the safety of my accommodation just in case. I hope that you will have an enjoyable time in the city.

Well are you staying at a hotel? Ask the front desk what you can do for fun. Also, look for any local webpages online. Just do a search for that city and see what pops up. Also, and this is probably not the greatest idea in the world, but I always acquaint myself with a new town by a coin toss game. It's simple. Hop in the car, start driving, and when you get to a stop light, flip the coin, heads left, tails right. That's how I always find the most interesting places. But definitely just get out there, even if it's a bust. Have some fun! Mind if I ask what city you're in?
