I have not started that many discussions, I am not a good discussion starter but I have got many best responses and they have increased my confidence in myself.
At first I was not getting good reputation in the star at all. At that time I was about to lose my confidence but these best responses which I got at that time saved me from that.
Thanks a lot for all those who have marked my responses as the best one and for increasing my self confidence.

you do not mark the responses that you make, but the responses that others make on your discussion.
I have many to do, I find it such a difficult task - but I did mark 30 discussions this morning with best responses, it is a relief to have those 30 out of the way but I have many many more pages to accomplish.

basically, i mark best response when the purpose of discussion is served. otherwise, if i am looking for some advice or something like that, when i get the best response, i mark it. i really look for the quality of their postings for marking them best.

I think I've done it a few times... but most I've left open just because there wasn't a response worthy of it and I won't just choose a response to close the discussion.

I try to make a best response if there is one worth being marked but if there isn't one yet then I leave it open.
