What are your favorite songs to sing at karaoke bars? Or, do you prefer to let others entertain you? I am having my birthday party at a karaoke bar this year and I've come up with three songs that I'd like to sing.
U2- Red Hill Town
Met at Work- Down Under
Janis Joplin- Piece of my Heart
Huey Lewis and the News - Workin' for the Weekend
Although, Sir Mix Alot's "Baby got Back" and "Pushit" by Salt & Peppa are always entertaining.
These are all classics but I'll need to work on some new pieces before my party next month. I might like to sing something by Snow Patrol or Death Cab for Cutie.
I'll be singing in the shower.

I love karaoke as well but i never had the chance to sing and make a fool out myself in front of a great number of people.
The best songs for karaoke in my opinion are:
Creedence-Have you ever seen the rain
Vaya con Dios-Nah neh nah
Alanah Miles-Black velvet
3Non Blondes-What's up
and some other songs as well but i bet you don't know them( they 're romanian songs).
Have fun!!!

Hi...I actually think that Karaoke is wonderfully entertaining!!!!...ive seen it many times ...and laughed until ive cried !!!
My sister when she was living in this country used to love to Karaoke....especially if she had had a drink....well lol....she sounded worse than awful...but she was convinced that she was the next Diana Ross.....and at least she mae me laugh!!!!!
Ive never had the courage to Karaoke...the standing up an trying to follow the words passing on the screen..plus keeping it in time to the music...well that would be beyond me!!!!!....
But i think that for those who can do it ...and do it well....its a good hobby...
I once saw a chap do a Meatloaf impersonation....well he was amazing....he souned exactly the same.....
