You can't make your mom accept your partner. You just have to deal with it is all. If she critizes you about him, ignore it and move on. That's something I've learned with my mom. She hates my hubby but I don't let it get to me. After awhile, she just stopped making snide remarks about him or us.

I completley agree with black. You cannot make your mom like your partner no matter what. She eithr likes him or doesn't....can I ask what her reasons are? I was in the same situation soo..i understand the pain it causes

hey, our moms are always gonna be afraid that we date the wrong guy, is normal, just sit with her and let her know what your feelings for your bf are, try talking to her and give her time to accept it..

i agree with you completely at the end of the day moms will be moms and they always seem to come around. you just need to get the block out of her mind and make her see the good sides of your man.

it is a problem that most of the young go through all the time. for your mom not to like someone you love there should be a valid reason for that. first i would try and talk to her, only once you get to know why she does not like him you could sit her down and make her see that she is wrong in how she thinks. show her the good side and the reason why you love him so much. i am sure she will understand.
