I was wonderin if someone out there could help me a problem I have. Ok... I'm fairly new at this site and the only make like 2 cents a discussion. Is there any other ways of making money and how do I make more money than I am now. Please someone help me! I'm lost!

Add lots of interests so there is a lot to choose from when posting a response.
Add lots of friends so that they'll see your discussions and possibly respond.
Refresh your home page frequently so you'll know what discussions are out there without having to dig through the individual interest areas. The more interests and friends you have will keep this info fresh.
When you respond to a discussion, make it worthwhile for people to read. Don't just post one/two word answers, put a little thought into it.
When starting a discussion, make sure to put it in the proper interest category and make it something that people will want to respond to, that they'll have an opinion on, etc. If there is nothing for people to interact with, they won't respond or if they do, it won't add much to the discussion.
Get referrals.
Make a few bucks here yourself and tell your friends/family how easy it was and how much fun you're having. Make sure to tell them how it differs from every other site out there (it is very different!), and it really does pay and you don't have to wait months to get it.
You're not going to get rich here, but if you have any amount of time at all and are even halfway literate, you can do well. I've only been here since mid-February and I'm very pleased with what I've done.

Of course you can do it.
I made more than $10 my first month and that was in 12-13 days.
Thousands of other myLot members do it.
If you can talk, translate that into typing here. Pretend you're talking to your friends on the phone or your family over the dinner table.
You get paid for starting discussions or responding to those others have started. Honestly, if you don't have time/desire to start something that might draw a lot of responses, it's better to just stick to responding to others.
It's easier to see what someone else has written and type whatever comes to mind (within TOS, of course) than it is to wrack your brain trying to come up with your own discussions.
'Talk' to people today and look at your earnings tomorrow morning after updating. It does work.
