Trojans on usbdrive

Most of you must have experienced trojans attacking your computers, getting entry to your computer through usbdrives. it is now a days the popular route of spread of trojans. to minimize this you open the pendrive through a menu which appears when you insert your usbdrive. opening the usbdive from Mycomputer increases the chance of autorunning the trojan when you double click on usbdrive. Right click and carefully select open, still there is a possibility of autorunning the tojans. So best way is to open it from the menu which appears when you insert your usbdrive.

Well my system was attacked with this Trojan through a pendrive and that drove me really crazy. I never knew that these is this way of opening the pen drive to avoid the trojan running. Isnt there a way to completely get rid of the trojan and keep the pendrive clean?

before opening the pen drive we should scan with good antivirus so that virus is detected and moved to chest
