How oftenly you WASH your EYES...???

I never wash out my eyes but I do wash my face and my eye area on the outside. I do not have to wear glasses or contact lens so I guess that may be the reason why also. I have used visine in them a few times though but not much.

wash our eyes? i really don't underdstand about "wash our eyes" in here? what liquid that we use to wash our eyes? is it only water? usual water or what? honestly i am getting curious to know more since i also have problem with my eyes at this moment

I don't see the point of washing your eyes to keep them moist. That is what you have tears and natural lubrication for. If your eyes don't lubricate themselves, water will just make them dry out more.

Washing eyes sound a little horrible to me. I haven't heard it before. I think sometimes using the eye drops will be good enough.

Sad to say, i dun really know how to take care of my eyes.. I only wash it at most 3 times a day :( But i do use eyewash like, eyedrops, to wash my eye once in the morning and once at night.. While i'm out in the afternoon, i will just wash my eyes with running tap water..

I never wash my eyes, apart from when I have a wash in the morning and evening. It is not something that I think about doing if I am truthful, I know they hurt like mad if I have been on the computer for a while though!

i never thought that washing my eyes has some health benefits. thanks for sharing this information here. i would not have guessed that we have to wash our our atleast once a day. i guess i wash my eyes everytime i get my shower. is there a special solution that we have to wash our eyes with? or can we just use tap water?

My eye doctor told me that i have dry eyes ,so i put drops in them almost daily.sometimes i forget..Its good to care for your eyes ...My eye doctor answers her phone with this phrase"Eyes are precious,may i help you?...I think that is cute...

I never wash my eyes; not the insides at least. I always thought that eyes are self-cleaning. I don't have dry eyes or contacts so I never considered washing my eyes unless there is some foreign object in one of them.

As they say, you have to rest your eyes first before washing it. It is like a muscle that when tired and then exposed to water at once may cause it harm to it like blurry vision, acuity problems, etc. The moist in the eyes is produced by the tear duct so I don't think we have to wash it just to lubricate it. EVery blink too would mean that the eyes are being lubricated and cleansed. So the only moment I wash my eyes with water are when I take shower or bath and when I wash my face which would average to 5-7 times a day.

Well, I wash my eyes everytime I take a bath and that is basically twice a day. Once in the morning and before I go to sleep. It is quite hot here in our country and I think it will hurt or damage my eye if I keep on washing it most especially if I am exposed in heat. So It usually in the morning as I wake and and take a bath and in the evening when I am already relax and about to sleep.

oh i seldome wash my eyes,i think the number is only 2-3 times. while you are right,we shloud wash our eyes more times a day especially for those people who sit in fron of computer all the day such as me. i should pay more attention to it from now on. thanks a lot for the reminder.

Ok..you just told me something I didn't know! i know there are alot of things that can hurt your eyes but never knew to wash them alot? What do you use to wash them with? Baby shampoo? or eye drops?

I didn't know this one. It's a good thing I'm wearing contact lenses because I am required to use eye drops to wash my eyes. I think you don't have wash it that often because we have natural lubricant in our eyes. Tears lubricate your eyes so if you have no access to water then you can just yawn and then you'd get some tears in your eyes and hence wash and lubricate it. Be careful what you put in your eyes as well you might be infecting it or you might even damage it. Just remember the rule of keeping it simple. I've always believed in doing everything moderation. well yes my friend i think this a very good question. i have been tg old that the AC air which is so cold actually dries out your eyes and so it is very important that you wash your eyes with water if you are too much in air conditioned place. and that is why when you are new to that type of place at first you will have a lot of eye itching or may be even too much head ache. i try to do that after every 2 or 3 hours so that the eyews are never dry.

Interesting I have never heard anything about washing your eyes. I have spalshed cool water on them if I have gotten shampoo or soap in them or other stuff in them but to wash them no I have never heard this. So I guess you would say I do not wash my eyes. If you don't have eye problems your eyes stay moist on their own and ummm they do clean themselves thus the tears or watery eyes.

It is good to wash our eyes well with cold water, while we wash oue face. This cleans our eyes and makes them fresh for well working! Normally I wash my eyes for four to five times a day by cold water. Always avoid warm water for this purpose. Thanks for this nice discussion.

Honestly, I never heard of washing your eyes before. I always thought that our eyes are self cleaning and that water irritates the eyes. Maybe if your eyes are tired or dry or itchy then you can use some eye drops, but doesn't the water hurt your eyes? I wash my face and when I do so I wash my eyes on the outside but for me it hurts to get water directly in my eyes. Thanks for your advice.

I wash my eyes only when I wash my face. I just have too. But wash my eyes for the sole purpose of cleaning my eyes, I have not done that. I am afraid to do that because I am in front of the computer all the time and if I do that, I know I will get a headache instantly because my eyes are tired for staring to much in the monitor and to wet them will put a lot of strees on them. Well, that is only my personal experience.

Good way and easy way and cheap way for keep safe our eyes.I wash my eyes about 20-35 times in a day,Do you believe it.It is important because i work about 16 houre in a day.
